The Instructional Designer plays a critical role in developing and enhancing our learning curriculum. They are responsible for creating engaging instructor-led training and e-learning materials that support our technical products and programs. Collaborating closely with business partners, subject matter experts, and the Learning and Employee Success teams, the Instructional Designer assesses the training needs of our customer-facing support teams. Their goal is to ensure effective training that aligns with our business objectives.
Work in consultation with business partners, subject matter experts, and course facilitators to identify skill gaps and design engaging course materials and job aids.
Conduct needs analyses and identify core learning objectives to build effective learning modules (i.e. classroom training, eLearnings, videos, etc.)
Manage instructional design projects from start to finish
Upload and manage content in the organization-wide Learning Management System (Workday Learning)
Facilitate the creation of multimedia content (e.g. video, audio, etc.)
Revise existing training materials, including, but not limited to, new hire courses, system and process changes to improve effectiveness and learning transfer
Design, develop, and implement processes and procedures to adequately assess the effectiveness of training, skill acquisition, and retention of knowledge.
Create, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for effective knowledge management, version control, and communication strategy for training materials
Work with course facilitators to determine material needs for upcoming courses and coordinate distribution
Provide train-the-trainer sessions to Learning Delivery Specialists and subject matter experts
