At GoDaddy, the Commerce Transactional Risk team plays a critical role in managing billions of dollars in transaction volume annually, delivering superior fraud loss prevention through advanced and adaptable risk systems. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the creation and evolution of these systems, working remotely from Colombia while collaborating with a global team. Your responsibilities include interacting with Product Managers and stakeholders to define requirements and architectural solutions focusing on observability, scalability, and API design. You will provide technical leadership on essential projects, reduce technical debt, mentor junior engineers, contribute code primarily in Java, manage production incidents, and participate in roadmap planning. Candidates should have over 7 years of software development experience with expertise in multiple programming languages and over 5 years in Java server-side programming. Ownership of the full software lifecycle, expertise in cloud-based distributed systems, database technologies, REST API design, and experience with frameworks and architectures such as Spring, OAuth2, microservices, and event-driven architecture are essential. Additional experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, AWS, and payment or risk domains is advantageous.
