The Terminal Management team within GoDaddy’s Commerce Division is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Poynt Smart Terminal Management System, which monitors, provisions, and updates smart terminals and related hardware globally. The platform supports the entire lifecycle of payment terminals, from factory production through fulfillment, to customer deployment and repair centers. It facilitates real-time device control and insights, enabling customer service, fulfillment providers, resellers, banking partners, and ISOs to remotely manage devices, customize network settings, and optimize transaction parameters for diverse customer environments. Responsibilities include building and maintaining comprehensive APIs for device management, designing scalable Over-the-Air (OTA) update systems for efficient distribution of OS and app updates, implementing real-time data collection and diagnostics for logs and crash reports, and integrating telemetry data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning models. The role also focuses on seamless provisioning and configuration of devices at scale, enhancing lifecycle management, and empowering partners with remote management tools to reduce downtime. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in server-side programming with Golang, proficiency in cloud applications on AWS (ECS, EC2), expertise in API design, knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and database management (SQL, NoSQL). Additional experience with messaging systems like Kafka or AWS SNS/SQS and AWS Lambda is advantageous.
