As the Product AI Engineering Lead at Hostinger, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the intelligence behind next-generation products and in growing the people who build them. You will lead and mentor a talented team of AI engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and growth planning, ensuring both technical excellence and professional development. You will guide the team in building agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and other advanced AI capabilities that transform how millions of users experience the web. Balancing hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction, you will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to bring ideas from concept to impactful, production-ready features. Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring a squad of AI engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance feedback; identifying growth opportunities for team members and supporting their technical and professional development; overseeing the delivery of AI-powered product features from prototypes to scalable, reliable production systems; actively contributing to the design and implementation of AI-based systems; collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ensure AI solutions are impactful, measurable, and aligned with business goals; establishing and maintaining best practices in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and AI system reliability; staying ahead of emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and research to ensure the team applies the latest advancements effectively; building a culture of experimentation and evidence-driven decision-making, balancing speed with long-term technical integrity; defining and continuously improving AI engineering processes; and participating in hiring, onboarding, and building a strong AI engineering culture. Your skills and experience must include proven experience leading AI or ML engineers with performance management and technical mentorship; strong, hands-on expertise in Python and modern LLM/AI frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain; experience designing and building agentic AI systems (autonomous or tool-using agents) and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines; solid understanding of AI system design including model evaluation, fine-tuning, and inference optimization; experience building and deploying production-grade APIs (FastAPI, Flask) and containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes); excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams; familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, version control) and how they support AI product delivery; ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities and team enablement; a curious, research-driven mindset motivated to push the boundaries of applied AI within real products; and fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.
