October 16. It takes users through a first campaign in six steps, adds conversion tracking to the website automatically and reports results in the same place where the site is managed. Hostinger charges no additional fee, and Google bills ad spend directly.
In its announcement, Hostinger cites LocaliQ’s 2026 small business marketing report, a survey of more than 300 owners, in which 59% expected finding new leads and customers to be a challenge this year and 45% were running search ads. Among several possible reasons, LocaliQ suggests that search advertising is more complex to run than social media ads. For Arnas Donauskas, Hostinger’s web hosting product manager, the hard part comes after the website is built: “Building a website is the easy part. Getting the right people to it is where most online businesses struggle.”
Key facts
- Availability: all website types on Hostinger’s web hosting platform can use the integration. Sites hosted on VPS are excluded.
- Campaign type: Google’s Performance Max, set up for lead generation, which can serve ads across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps.
- Before results: Google reviews each ad, typically within 24 hours, and its AI can take up to four weeks to optimize a new campaign.
- Ad credit: after $500 of spend in the first 60 days, eligible US advertisers receive $500 in credit for future ads. Hostinger lists the terms for 97 countries.
Six Steps From a Google Account to a Live Campaign
The customer first connects a Google Ads account through Google sign-in, which gives Hostinger permission to manage the account’s campaigns and data. New accounts complete billing setup in Google Ads. The customer then selects the website, enters a conversion page such as a thank-you page and chooses where the ads should appear, by country, city, postal code or region.
Next, Google generates ad text and images, which the customer can edit or replace with their own copy. A campaign can hold up to 15 short headlines, five long headlines, five descriptions, a set of images and a logo.
The campaigns run on Google’s Performance Max format, configured for lead generation. Unlike keyword-based Search campaigns, Performance Max can serve ads across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps. Google AI combines the headlines, descriptions and images into different versions for each channel, tests which combinations bring in the most leads and adjusts bids and audiences accordingly.
The last two steps are choosing a daily budget, with each option showing an estimated number of leads per week, and reviewing the campaign before launch.
During setup, Hostinger adds the Google Ads tracking code and consent mode to the website by default, which, according to Hostinger, lets customers measure leads while respecting visitors’ consent choices. Customers who prefer to manage tracking themselves can opt out and add the code manually. Once a campaign is live, the dashboard shows impressions, clicks, leads, average cost per lead and total spend, filterable by date, alongside a table of each campaign’s budget, status and results.
What Happens in a Campaign’s First Weeks
Every ad must pass Google’s review before it can run, which typically takes up to 24 hours, and customers can check each campaign’s review status in the Hostinger dashboard. After that, Google’s AI can take up to four weeks to learn which placements and ad combinations work best.
The promotional credit is also tied to the first 60 days, and its amount varies by billing country. Hostinger’s terms page lists 97 countries, each with a credit equal to the spend required in that period, such as $500 in the United States, GBP 400 in the United Kingdom, EUR 400 in Germany and PLN 1,200 in Poland. According to Google, the credit is not cash back or a refund. Once the requirement is met, an eligibility check can take up to 35 days, and the credit then covers future advertising costs, not the spend that qualified for it. Google sets the eligibility rules, thresholds and amounts, and can change them at any time.
From a Website Builder App to the Main Dashboard
Hostinger’s earlier Google Ads App arrived in April 2025, built into Hostinger Website Builder and also based on Performance Max. In June 2026, Website Builder switched to Google Tag in place of its Google Ads integration, with existing campaigns continuing as before. The new integration sits in the main Hostinger dashboard and covers all website types on the web hosting platform other than VPS.
