Join GoDaddy as a Backend Software Engineer for the Website Marketing team, working remotely from Colombia. You will be part of a dynamic group of developers responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure behind GoDaddy’s Website + Marketing (W+M) platform. Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally performant code deployed on AWS cloud. Responsibilities include implementing new features, fixing bugs, improving existing services, performing code reviews, and being on-call for critical issues. You will participate in implementing, testing, and maintaining client and server-side platforms, writing efficient, maintainable code, and ensuring code quality with extensive unit and integration testing. Investigating and resolving production issues and contributing to technical documentation and mentoring fellow engineers are key aspects of the role. The position requires staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and guiding other developers. Required experience includes 3+ years in software engineering, strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js skills, designing RESTful APIs, version control with Git, agile team experience, and CI/CD deployment knowledge. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, hands-on AWS experience, knowledge of React, Redux, Next.js, Webpack, performance monitoring tools like ElasticAPM, testing frameworks like Cypress, and DevOps tools including Kubernetes and GitHub Actions.
