About the role: As a System Administrator (L3 Support), you’ll be part of our Infrastructure Operations team, working behind the scenes to ensure our hosting environments are secure, high-performing, and reliable. Reporting to the Lead System Administrator, you’ll handle critical incidents, support complex client environments, and coach others in resolving advanced technical challenges. You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements in system monitoring, automation, and documentation to help scale our infrastructure with confidence. What you’ll do: Monitor production infrastructure and respond to incidents in real time; Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues including load balancing, database optimization, and system tuning; Identify and remediate security incidents such as malware, phishing, abuse, and blacklisting; Support dedicated and cloud server provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning; Assist in complex customer migrations and performance audits; Provide coaching and guidance to L3 Support agents on technical cases; Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues; Escalate and coordinate with DevOps for deep platform-level issues; Contribute to internal documentation and system standardization initiatives; Diagnose and troubleshoot complex migrations; Participate in the systems standardization and documentation efforts; Escalate complex issues and coordinate responses with the DevOps team. Required Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience managing Linux-based LAMP stacks (Apache or Nginx); Hands-on experience with cPanel/WHM (Plesk experience an asset); Strong knowledge of DNS, IPv4/6, and common web technologies; Experience with email systems (SMTP, POP, IMAP) and reputation management; Familiarity with Bash scripting or similar command-line tools; Database administration experience (MySQL/MariaDB); Strong communication skills in French or English (verbal and written). Nice-to-Haves: Knowledge of scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, or Python; Familiarity with virtualization platforms like KVM, OpenVZ, Xen, or OpenStack; Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef); Windows Server experience; Certifications such as LPIC, RedHat, or cPanel.
