Russian hosting company RUVDS to deliver server to the South Pole

Russian hosting provider RUVDS has announced plans to deliver a server to the South Pole in 2025. This is not the first time RUVDS has embarked on such an ambitious project. Previously, the company delivered a server to the Arctic, and now they plan to do the same in the even harsher conditions of Antarctica.

Global domain registration trends in Q3 2024

The third quarter of 2024 saw 362.3 million domain name registrations across all top-level domains (TLDs), reflecting a slight decrease of 0.1 million registrations compared to the previous quarter. However, year-over-year, the domain registrations rose by 0.8%, which translates to an increase of 3 million registrations.
